What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? How can you get initial funding to start a business? Do you have what it takes to launch a successful business? These are the questions that fill the heads of any aspiring entrepreneur. In this Lunch and Learn, Vikram Chopra will discuss the questions plaguing startups and those in the early stage journey of entrepreneurship. Vikram will give an overview of what an entrepreneur needs to put in place before launching a startup, building a dynamic team, raising funds, and implementing key milestones in a business plan.

About the author

Vikram Chopra is a charismatic entrepreneur and founder of Gift Jeenie, a one-stop-shop app aggregating wishlists, shopping carts, and deals from online retailers.

It all started by offering consulting services as a side hustle to gain additional income. Vikram’s part-time gig allowed him to dive headfirst into doing business with other startups, which slowly evolved into launching a startup of his own: Gift Jeenie. With his background in marketing and sales, he connected the dots between the large amounts of retailer data scattered throughout the web and how consumers felt frustrated when they weren’t able to find great deals. So like any entrepreneurial spirit, he quickly jumped on the opportunity to capture the market. Vikram’s future plans include incorporating blockchain technology into offering exclusive deals and cash-back rewards.

Vikram has over a decade of experience in the startup space; specializes in taking concepts to market. He has launched several successful products and driven strong user acquisition for multiple tech startups in the consumer, retail, mobile, food-tech and fin-tech space. Gift Jeenie, is being featured this fall on National Television in a new Startup reality series. Vikram is also an Instructor & Mentor with 2020 Startups, a New York based accelerator program. Prior to Gift Jeenie, he has cofounded and successfully exited RoundAssist, a start-up in the cloud computing and professional IT services space. He has also spearheaded marketing/sales launches for several startups- Mobile Miser, freedomone mobile, Munch Ninja/Infuse Mobile, Impulsivity & Alphinat.
