Pitch Your Expertise!

January 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Pitch your expertise with Frances Simowitz, Program Director at NUMA!

Write/Speak/Code is for non-binary (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genderqueer) people and women, cis and trans, and is emphatically trans and queer friendly.

Have you ever gone to a meetup or career fair and just froze up when trying to tell people why you kick butt? Do you freeze up, use hedging qualifiers like just, and end up feeling like you couldn’t get your points across? Learn how to craft your pitch and think on your feet as you deliver it in a series of short, one-on-one speed-dating-style interviews with other attendees.

Frances is currently Program Director for the NUMA New York, a global network of accelerators around the world. She has established her career as a Launch expert in the New York City Startup Scene. She’s helped establish and grow operations in multiple cities like Boston, Chicago, DC, and New York for Startups like Sittercity, Startup Institute, and now NUMA New York. She’s worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs and has established one of the largest entrepreneurial communities in New York City through HackerNest. Her Key strengths are in Operations, Business Development, Community Building, Negotiations, and many levels of sales from small tickets to enterprise.
