For the pitch-off, each competing team will analyze a high growth company through exploration of product, market, founding team, as well as potential for growth. Teams will have an opportunity to showcase their presentation in front of a panel of judges, which will consist of New York venture capitalists. In order to attend the Showcase, your school must have at least one team that has applied to compete in the pitch-off. Please apply here!

The entire event will be a great networking opportunity (including a happy hour) that will bring together young entrepreneurs, aspiring investors, company founders, established venture capitalists, and the general tech community in the Tri-State area.

General Guidelines:

• Teams must consist of 3-4 undergraduate students
• Teams will choose one startup to pitch from a pre-selected list of companies. The list will be provided upon registration in the competition.
• For the first round of the competition, teams will submit a company one-pager (front and back) – calculations in the appendix. This one-pager will be your team’s official submission to the competition.
• If selected to compete in the second round, the teams will have the opportunity to showcase their presentation skills in front of a panel of judges of VCs from the NYC area
• Winners will receive one-on-one mentorship and assistance from industry professionals

Competition Timeline:

• First round due April 2nd by 11:59pm
• Acceptances released on April 4th
• The final presentation will take place on the day of the Venture Showcase (April 14th)
