Shopify‘s new design system Polaris reflects the company’s multidisciplinary approach to building products. It was created in 10 weeks by a group of designers, content strategists, front-end-developers, illustrators, and researchers and the project was led by Amy, a content strategy lead at Shopify. In her talk, Amy will cover how her team tackled the Polaris style guide project and their practical approach to integrating different perspectives throughout the UX process in a meaningful way.

Amy Thibodeau is a content strategist and writer with over a decade of experience planning and building useful digital product. She was one of the first members of Facebook’s product content strategy team where she championed the role of language as a building block of clear, human interface design. She’s passionate about developing practical methods and tools that empower people across different disciplines to collaborate to improve content in service of their customers and their business.
